§ 01 · The company

AR automation for mid-market manufacturers.

The company

LedgerLoop is a Bangalore-based B2B SaaS company selling accounts receivable automation to mid-market Indian manufacturers and distributors in the ₹100 Cr – ₹2,000 Cr revenue band. 95 employees, ARR around ₹22 Cr, fully outbound motion targeting CFOs and Finance Controllers.

Karthik Subramanian, VP Sales, runs a team of 14 SDRs and 6 AEs out of Indiranagar. What kept him up at night: a 47-day sales cycle that was getting longer every quarter while his SDRs spent most of their week doing anything but selling.

§ 02 · The problem

24 hours of research a week. To make 8 calls connect.

SDR week

Each SDR carried a list of ~800 accounts. Internal time-tracking showed 24 hours a week going into research — scrubbing LinkedIn, cross-referencing MCA filings, reading earnings transcripts, hunting down direct emails on ZoomInfo. Of the 50 calls each SDR made daily, only 8 connected, and only 2 of those qualified. Reply rates on cold email sat at 1.8%.

Breaking pointQ3 2024

Two of his best SDRs quit in the same week, both citing burnout from "doing data entry, not selling." CAC had climbed 38% YoY. Karthik had three options: hire 6 more SDRs at ₹9L each, buy more tooling, or change the shape of the top of the funnel entirely.

§ 03 · The solution

A prospecting agent that runs the whole pre-call.

Architecture

Vynara built a prospecting agent that runs the full pre-call workflow end to end. It ingests LedgerLoop's historical CRM to learn what a closed-won account looks like — industry, revenue band, AR days outstanding, accounting stack — then pulls fresh signals daily: new CFO hires, fundraise news, GST filing irregularities, tool-stack changes from BuiltWith.

It scores fit on a 0–100 scale, drafts a personalized first-touch referencing a specific trigger event from that week, and sequences outreach across email and LinkedIn. Replies route straight to the AE who owns that vertical. SDRs stayed in the loop for one thing only: handling warm conversations once a prospect replied.

SDR enters the loop only when
prospect has replied OR meeting confirmed
§ 04 · How it works

From research → reply, without an SDR touch.

Before · Manual pre-call 45 min / account
  1. SDR pulls account list
  2. SDR researches account · 45 min
  3. SDR hunts for email
  4. SDR writes "personalized" template
  5. SDR sends · follows up 4× manually
  6. AE maybe gets a meeting
After · Agent-led 12,000 / night
  1. Agent scans 12,000 accounts nightly
  2. Scores fit + surfaces trigger eventCFO hire · GST flag · fundraise · stack change
  3. Drafts personalized sequence
  4. Sends across email + LinkedIn
  5. Handles follow-ups
  6. Prospect replies / books slot → AE walks into warm conversation

§ 07 · What they said

Different cost structure. Different team.

"

I went into this expecting incremental lift. What I got was a completely different cost structure. I stopped hiring SDRs and added one engineer instead. My team is finally doing the job I hired them for — closing.

"

The first week, a meeting showed up on my calendar from an account I'd never heard of, with a note saying their CFO had joined three weeks ago from a competitor we'd replaced last year. That's when I knew this was different.

§ 08 · The takeaway

The agent didn't replace sellers.

It replaced the part of the job nobody wanted to do.

Any B2B team with a defined ICP, a CRM holding 12+ months of outcomes, and a clear trigger-event hypothesis can run this play. Every hour of SDR research time you reclaim is an hour of revenue conversation — and the unit economics shift fast.

One-liner We built an AI agent that gave 14 SDRs their afternoons back and tripled qualified pipeline in a single quarter.
